Two Weeks!

Two weeks until Opening Day!  We’ve got our menu together, Darcy fits into his Cubs uniform and there will be cake.

I think we’re going to go with hot dogs and sausages this year.  It’s simple and tastes great.  I don’t know what kind of beer to get though.  We don’t have Old Style up here so I’ll probably get tried and true Labatt Blue.

Now, for the pre game snacks, I’m thinking nachos with cheese sauce.  That’s always a fan favourite.

I hope there’s going to be some kind of pre game show on WGN.  There usually is I think.

Opening Day can’t come soon enough for us, either. You can’t go wrong with hot dogs and sausages. I live on the Canadian border, so I can enjoy a really good brew once in awhile. Molson is my Canadian beer of choice, but LaBatts is just as good. Go Cubs!

Everybody knocks American beer, but it’s not all that bad. There’s a lot of Canadian brew that’s horrible! Stay away from labatt 50.

Molson Canadian is good, but labatt Blue is my home brew.

    Mark,
One of the things you got to remember is Garza is learning a new system this Spring. The situational and pitch selection signals might be a bit different, so it might take him a bit to acclimate himself totally within the Cubs fold.
But if he had intensity and kept his cool under pressure, the real Garza will show up soon.
You are so right about getting the “kinks” out in the Spring.
