Bring on the Brew

Ok, so they didn’t win the last game against Arizona.  Not a problem.  There were some bright spots such as Alfonso’s third home run this year and Ramirez going deep for a two run blast.

There were some lows.  Ryan Dempster struggled and now he’s at 0-2 for the season.

You can check out the Box Score

The Cubs open the series with the Brewers this Friday.  The Brewers are 2-4 and the Cubs are 3-3.

I don’t need to tell anyone about the importance of this division series.  The Cubs usually play well against the Brewers.  I’m expecting Zambrano to play well and Carlos Pena is expected to be back for the series.

I didn’t think Dempster pitched all that bad. Had some poor defense behind him and that hurt him. Hopefully, we will have a good series this weekend.

I would definitely say Dempster has struggled. The defense is not helping, but he hasn’t given the type of start you’d expect against the Pirates and D-backs. But I’m very confident he’ll give us another quality season. He’ll work through it. Brewers series are always intense.. Go Cubs!

I’d like to get up to Milwaukee sometime this weekend to see a game. Maybe Saturday, but I doubt it.

Enjoy the weekend! The Brewers seem to be hurting from all the injuries. That can only help your cause.

Brewers are now 3-4, having won the final game against Atlanta today. Should be Randy Wolf v. Zambrano on Friday. Although the Brewers are hurting from the injuries, I expect they’ll hang one on Big Z tomorrow; Prince Fielder and Nyjer Morgan both bat over .300 against him, with Braun probably sandwiched between them in the lineup, watch out.
