Sports Illustrated

I hope I’m not jinxing anything by posting the picture of Starlin on SI, but the cover is well deserved.  In case you didn’t know, Starlin Castro is 21 years old and taking the league by storm.  Last month, he collected 40 hits.  That’s pretty impressive stuff.  Last year, he narrowly missed out on rookie honours that went to(well deserved) Buster Posey.  There is no question that someday Starlin Castro will end up in Cooperstown and we will be there to cheer him on.

In other news, Darwin Barney was made rookie of the month.  Well done Darwin!!!!

So, although April was a slow month for the Cubs, it’s nice to see some positives.  I think the Cubs will be all right.

M.V.P! M.V.P! M.V.P! Sorry, Rose just won the NBA award, and the chants are distracting me from baseball. Too soon. But it IS time to start the Castro for All-Star campaign. 🙂

Rob’s comment had me laughing! Castro really impresses me! I hope he keeps it up. We need it.
