Since 1918

The Cubs got beat up at Fenway.  Hey, the pageantry was felt and what I’ve learnt from baseball is that even in the losses, baseball is an intriguing game.  Now, I only watched a little bit of the game on Sunday but it was pretty cool to see the Green Monster.  My dad and I were watching snippets of it and we both concur that the magic of baseball unlike some sports is the strategy goes right down to the wire.

I saw a clip of Marlon Byrd getting nailed.  I hope he’s ok.  It looked pretty bad.  Today, the Cubs are off and I have a funny feeling that they’re going to be making some crucial changes in the lineup.

I like interleague play.  Maybe not as many games, maybe one series I don’t know.  Boston is a powerhouse and maybe the Cubs having to change their plan is rough.

It was a treat to see the Cubs at Fenway and I look forward to the Yankees at Wrigley.

It was neat to see the Cubs at Fenway, but overall I am not a fan of interleague play. I was reading that Byrd seems to be doing well.

An interleague series that sees Boston stop by Wrigley is pretty cool. The Yanks coming in there is cool too. But for every series like this, there’s five or six useless ones like Houston or Pittsburgh vs. Toronto.

I agree if the league insists on having interleague play, maybe limit it to one or two series a year.

What would you think about a rivalry week? Like they do for football, every year have the same teams play interleague ball against each other and start a new tradition of heated games and amped up prices for a weekend of tough highly anticipated baseball?

I love rivalries. It makes the sport. I just think interleague play could be even more exciting.

I think it’s good for the fans. There were so many Cub fans out in Boston it was crazy. It gives fans a reason to visit different cities and ballparks.

The old Habs/Bruins rivalry was great!
