David and Goliath

Cubs 5

Giants 2

A game of Biblical proportions.  In the future, this is going to be the series that I’ll tell our son.  “It was in 2011…”

Just like the title says.  Who would have thought that they could pull it off against the champs?  I missed the 3 run homer by Geovanny Soto.  I took my eyes off the tv for just a second and see what happens?

The Cubs are looking great with one week until the All Star break.  This is going to be a tough week although they play the White Sox, Nationals and Pirates.  The Cubs need to win all these games(they need to win a lot more than that) but i think with the momentum taken from the San Francisco series, the Cubs can look in great shape after the break.

Carlos Pena is playing extremely well, with 17 home runs.  Is it too late for him to jump into the all Star game?

Really, I don’t know what the guys are talking about and discussing in the locker room, but it’s working.  Two nights ago, it was Aramis Ramirez that saved the day going down to the wire and then yestyerday, it was Soto’s turn on almost the exact same play.

A smokin’ win.  Oh, let’s not forget the young guns like Darwin Barney, Starlin Castro and Tony(Where the Hell Did you Come From) Campana.

Yeah, Hey Chicago what do ya say, the Cubs are going to win today!

Happy Canada Day!

They are definitely playing better baseball, that’s for sure. And Pena… man, when he gets on a roll dude gets on a roll!

The Cubs are obviously better than the Tigers, who can’t do jack against the Giants right now (or any NL team, for that matter). I’m rooting for the Cubs against the ChiSox, too. Happy belated Canada Day. It was a busy day here at the border…everyone going to Wal Mart!!!
